1. Introduction
Thank you for downloading the NIGHT DRIVES preset.

4. Best Practices for Using the Preset
📌 Adjust these
every time
:
White Balance:
This preset is tungsten-inspired. Adjust Temp/Tint to match your scene.
Exposure:
Set it before applying the preset.
Contrast (Optional):
Night scenes vary — you may want +10 to +20.
📌 Works best on:
Night street photography
Mixed tungsten/fluorescent lighting
Neon scenes
Urban portraits
Cinematic parking garages / gas stations
Low-contrast raw files
📌 Avoid or tweak on:
Bright daylight (desaturate blues less)
Very yellow street lights (push Tint slightly magenta)
5. My Shooting Tips (Add personality & value)
Shoot RAW whenever possible — the halation/warmth effect looks cleaner.
Slight underexposure (-0.3 to -0.7) gives a more cinematic result.
Use a longer focal length if possible; it enhances the film-like compression.
Use practical light sources (lamps, signs, shops) as rim lights for portraits.
If your camera allows it, keep contrast low in-camera for more editing headroom.
